Guidelines for Sharing Photos and Memories

Please help us build a rich D150 website by sharing your photos and memories with us. Whatever boat you rowed in, however long you rowed, if you care about D150, we want to hear from you. Oh, and if you were a captain, how about pulling together a photo of each boat for that season.

Please email materials to historian@D150.org. Before you do so, please review the following guidelines:

  1. Please only send photos that you have rights to and which you grant Green Granite Rowing the right to use without restriction. Please state this clearly in your email. (By the way, if you purchased digital images from Sport Graphics, let us know, we may be able to use them.) We will make a good faith effort to label the photos as “Courtesy of [Your Name].”

  2. The more information you can provide about each photo, the better. When sending photos of boats or crews, if you can provide the date (or at least year), the boat, and the event, that’s great. Bonus points for names of the rowers.

  3. We aren’t just looking for photos of boats racing. We are looking for every slice of life as a D150. Winter training photos, training trip photos, and the like are all welcome.

  4. We’d love your recollections about your experiences. We hope to post brief recollections by athletes, coaches, and others along with photos and we welcome your contributions. Please edit yourself, though. Most people won’t want to read about your granola. And this is intended to be a family friendly website (unless your family is full of Harvard types). Let’s not embarrass ourselves. And be prepared, we might edit you too. (We will try to run edits by you.)

  5. Please understand that we might not use everything you send and it might take us some time to get materials up on the website. We all have day jobs.
